The first weekend of July saw Churnet Valley run steam & diesel operations over MCR's metals. Trains run up the steeply ingraded line to Cauldon Lowe, starting off 1 in 49 from Leekbrook.
On a sunny Sunday in July Class No. 33021 rolls past Four Fields Crossing with a Cauldon Lowe special heading back to Froghall after been worked up the bank by GWR 5199 on 3rd July 2011.

Class No. 33021 rolls into Leekbrook Junction after been held at the Stop sign around the bend, 5199 was on the rear which worked the train up the bank to Cauldon Lowe on 3rd July 2011.
